Our client is a Singaporean company that has been established for close to 50 years. With a strong foothold in the aviation, F&B and logistics industry, the company prides itself on innovation and excellence in their business. Currently, they have recently acquired a Food trading business and is launching this start up in the upcoming months.

As part of their start-up team, they are looking for an experienced Financial Controller who has solid experiences within operational finance and trade finance, to build the finance team and lead them in a newly acquired business unit within the organization.

Job Description Manage Accounting, Reporting, Internal Control, Tax, Treasury, and Financial Planning & Analysis Ensure financial practices align with statutory law and corporate control procedures Trade finance and working with banks on letter of credit Adhere to local GAAP and accounting standards Manage monthly forecasts and variance analysis Ensure timely and accurate tax returns filing Maintain an effective internal control system Optimize financial processes and procedures for efficiency Liaise well with external and internal auditors Possess strong business acumen and communication and presentation skills Work in a complex, fast-paced environment The Successful Applicant Bachelor's degree in Accountancy/Finance or related area At least 10 years of relevant experience Track record of leading and developing finance teams Industry experience in commodities and buy/sell experience Experience in consolidation, financial reporting for a complete entity, accounting standards interpretation, local tax regulations, and managing an external audit Familiarity with import/export trade and handling banking formalities would be advantageous Knowledge of supply chain operational management and financial software would be beneficial Excellent communication, presentation and people skills Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, proficient in MS Excel Self-starter with the ability to roll up your sleeves and get things done independently Affinity for problem-solving and ability to discuss, facilitate and implement solutions cross-functionally Possess good team spirit, collaborative, result-oriented, positive work attitude under tight deadlines What's on Offer Plenty of career opportunities within the greater organization Part of an untapped industry with high growth potential in Singapore Ability to establish a new team within a newly acquired business Benefits of working as a Financial Controller - SGX Listed B2B Organization in Orchard 0xc00a76d290:● Excellent benefits● Opportunities to grow● Attractive package● Remote Work opportunity
